  • Paula Amato Co-Founder

    Paula Amato is an educator with over 25 years of teaching experience.  She specializes in literacy at the primary level and has received extensive training in early literacy.  She has been trained in Reading Recovery, a research based, intensive intervention for at risk students.  Paula has a wealth of experiences ranging from Literacy grades K-8, Honors English grades 6-8, and literacy coaching grades K- 8.  At the intermediate level, Paula has been trained by the College Board in Pre-AP Vertical Alignment.  Her biggest accomplishment is her daughter, Natalli, who will be attending The Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University in the fall.

  • Jennifer Hanno Co-Founder

    Jennifer Hanno is an educator with over 26 years of classroom teaching experience. She specializes in literacy at the secondary level and has received extensive training on the Common Core Curriculum, including three years of attendance at the NTI Conferences hosted by the New York State Education Department. She has been trained in teaching the New York State Modules. Her positive experience with one of the modules is recounted HERE.

    Jennifer has been teaching AP Literature for over twenty years and has been trained by the College Board, the designer of the AP and SAT exams.

    Additionally, Jennifer is a short story writer. She is the winner of the 2012 Empirical Award for Fiction and her work has been published in Empirical, The Satirist, Ploughshares and other literary journals.
